J-Low a dual purpose crossbred that works well

The J-Low or Jersey x Lowline cross is becoming very popular in the mini cattle world. Most dual purpose crossbreeds resemble the beef breeds in shape, being heavy short legged most of the time, and fairly wide but produce more milk with higher butterfat content than typical purebred beef breeds. By crossbreeding a Mini Jersey with a Mini Angus, or vice virsa, you create a hybrid also know as the F1 cross which makes the cattle very hardy and thrifty. Calf raising becomes much easier due to this natural boost from the crossbreeding. The calves don't seem to get sick as easy, or as often, and tend to be more stress free. Due to the Angus influence, J-Lows are polled most of the time . J- Low crosses act much like a Jersey and are calm natured due to the Jersey influence.
On the other side of things if a cow is Dual purpose it usually means it is not superior in either beef or dairy. Once a J-Low comes fresh she will tend to not have as long a milking lactation nor produce as much milk as a purebred jersey would. Her milk will drop down in production much faster and she will not have as good a beef frame as a purebred Lowline Angus would.
